Recently I had to make the rental agreement. I went to Indira Nagar BDA complex.
By the time I parked the vehicle, I was approached by a guy. He asked me whether I was looking for making agreement. When I said yes, he called for another guy and directed him to me.
I asked for the E-Stamp paper for which he said that won't be available here. But he can arrange for it. He said he would charge Rs.500 as he had to personally go and get it.
I decided to do that myself. So I started to enquire about the place from where I could get the E-Stamp paper. I started my searching with Canara bank, went to SBI, then post office and finally reached the place where I could get the E-Stamp paper. It is the Co-operative society which is opposite to Jeevan Bhima Nagar water tank.

It took only 15 mins to get the E-stamp paper. I had to fill one application mentioning the details of the first party and second party. Then I paid Rs.110 (Rs.100 Stamp paper + Rs 10 service charge).
The Co-operative society is open on Saturdays also. The timing is 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

ReplyDeleteAfter reading your post, I went to the same place as well for 20 rupees e-stamp paper(+10 for service charge). Very friendly staff, quick and efficient. The full name of the place is Sri Narayana Multipurpose Cooperative Society, opposite BWSSB/Water Tank, JBN.
I also met someone there who was able to notarize my document for just Rs 150.
Your post saved me money and gave me learning.

Thanks to your post showing up in my google searches, I got assurance that estamp paper can be purchased at these multipurpose coop societies. In fact these are branches of the Kar state coop credit societies federation, spread out throughout the city. There is a ton of misleading info on the internet about where to buy stamp paper - some say its only at GPO, or at SRO offices or only at SHCIL offices etc,.. all false

ReplyDeleteThanks for the info. The co-op bank is on the first floor of the building opposite to the water tank. There was no board/mark outside the building indicating that such a co-op bank is situated there.
